Don't miss our best sale yet
By Stephen Cresswell 12 Aug, 2021
The Cobar Ram Sale has been and gone with 114 lots went to auction knocked down by Nutriens Solutions. Annalara White Dorper had a great day with Steve, Jack and Isabel attending to showcase ten of their best. Results for Annalara White Dorper were tops of $4,000 sold lots 62 and 100 and sold all ten for an average of $3,200. Great to see the confidence in the western districts of NSW and also online with two of our rams going to St George in QLD. As one of the original studs who were attending the Cobar Ram Sale it was great to catch up and see old and new clients to get together just in time before the NSW regional lockdown game into play. We always look forward to heading west as it's where the stud originated and what type of ram we wanted to breed. One that can withstand the harsh environments that western NSW can throw at you. Thank you to both Nutrien Russell and AuctionsPlus for putting the show together and allowing the 17 vendors to offer their best rams on the day.

Australian Lamb Ad
By Stephen Cresswell 25 Jan, 2021
Make lamb, not walls! 2020 has sure been a roller coaster and the new lamb ad captures just that. For the first time the Australian borders had shut residents out or in. This is the time of the year that the sheep farmers look forward to spark a spike in consumer demand for what is Australia's most loved form of protein... well we think so anyway. Did you like the ad?

Well 2021 is here and we're happy to move on from 2020. With a great year for agriculture to know that we can withstand the pressures of high demands on consumer end of the supply chain. With the lockdowns across the world and in Australia produced an unprecedented increase for protein across the world in more forms than one. We're primed to keep the supply of our rams through the backend of drought to provide the AWD stamp to our clients and into the future with 80 primed for the 2021 sale in February . With most 2019 drops we were able to carry them through and they were able to get some much needed grass into their diet. We've really been improving our paddocks in terms of new paddocks where we're able to rest feed for several months to allow for the ground cover to remain robust. With our improved pastures proving their worth 10 times over through the summer months we're bloody glad to have what we do now. With a solid 5 year plan to develop most of our paddocks on a three year crop rotation to reduce the chance of competitive grasses to over grow our seed mix. With Jack coming back into the mix for 2021 onwards we're able to get more done and strategically work on the direction of Annalara White Dorper enterprise and the building of our farm to become a productive work horse . Jack had studied a BA Agribusiness/Marketing Management at UNE and has been using it in the UK for the last 3 years. So he's back to work on building on Annalara White Dorper. We're in an exciting position of growth not only for us as AWD but for agriculture as an industry. We'll be sharing more about what makes AWD tick and what drives our selection of the best genetics out there. If you've read this far we hope you enjoy these pieces as we want to do more in the future and 2021. The AWD team look forward to seeing you at the sale on the 17/02/21 and hope you can join us on-property to really capture the characteristics of our genetics at this years ram sale. Catch the action on AuctionsPlus if you're unable to attend and register to bid for more lambs on the ground to build 2021.
